Lantmännen Lantbruk in Svalöv has gone live with LabVantage LIMS
Lantmännen Lantbruk Plant Breeding Laboratory has taken a new modern LIMS into production use.
Lantmännen is a Swedish agricultural cooperative and Northern Europe’s leader in agriculture, machinery, bioenergy and food products. The plant breeding oriented laboratory in Svalöv performs a wide range of test and the analytical portfolio covers all test needed from field to fork concerning wide range of crops. Results play an important role when developing the best future varieties to Nordic farmers and others.
On the scheduled date, 4th of July, the Laboratory went live with the new LIMS. Old customizations became obsolete as LabVantage LIMS now had the needed functionality as standard. The modern LabVantage LIMS offers rich functionality, automated tasks e.g. reporting and invoicing as well as robust instrument integrations made with the LabVantage Connect tool.

The laboratory now has busy times since it is harvest season and a lot of analyses to do. The laboratory personnel were goal oriented and dedicated to start to use the new LIMS and the changeover to the system did not introduce any major complications, tells the Laboratory manager Rikard Westbom.
The LIMS super users at the laboratory have had an open mind and been eager to learn new features during the project, tells Software Point’s project manager Peter Erdös.
Lantmännen is planning for continuous future improvement of LIMS usage together with Software Point.
