Patient/Animal and User Centric

LabVantage Medical Suite organizes functionality into work‑centric tram stops, each providing user‑ and role‑specific worklists along with patient‑ or animal‑focused views. These tram stops are arranged along a visual tramline that reflects the actual workflow within the laboratory. This structure offers clear insight into operational processes and ensures quick access to all LIS functions, making the system intuitive and easy to learn.

Statistics and Financial Management

The system includes a built‑in statistics tool capable of generating reports and distributing them automatically via email in the background. It also supports invoicing and financial data handling, with the option to export information directly to an external financial management system when needed.

Veterinary workflow

The Veterinary lab tramline in LabVantage Medical Suite supports a complete end‑to‑end workflow—from submitting a veterinary client order (Request Order) through the web portal to receiving the final report (My Orders) via the same portal. Sample requests may be submitted manually, through the web portal, electronically via external systems, or using request‑form scanning tools. Requests can be limited to a single discipline, such as Chemistry, or span multiple areas, including Microbiology and Pathology. Within the Veterinary Tramline, samples such as biochemistry, hormone tests, hematology, and cytology can also be managed. Dedicated tramlines exist for Bacteriology, Histology, and Carcass samples.

Once samples arrive in the laboratory, the system guides users through appropriate distribution steps. LabVantage Medical Suite integrates with more than 700 commonly used clinical instruments through existing drivers, removing the need for manual data entry and enabling fully integrated technical validation. The system also supports management by exception, meaning only specific samples require medical validation—where a veterinarian may provide a diagnosis or request additional testing. At any point in the workflow, users can access a complete multidisciplinary history of the patient to support informed decision‑making. Reporting options include paper output, automated email delivery, or electronic transfer to external systems using formats such as XML, ASTM, and HL7.
