Technical Specialist, LIMS-Healthcare, Espoo

As a Technical Specialist you will be part of a technical service team, which will be serving all of Software Pont’s healthcare customers and will collaborate with both sales and project teams.

Your work will consist of giving technical assistance to Pre-Sales and Sales, participate in customer projects and be responsible for the installation of LIMS and instrument communication software’s with belonging database and application server in the Nordic countries. Additionally, you will conduct LIMS updates in customers' test and production systems as well as provide technical and application support to already existing customers.

We are looking for a person who likes new challenges, is engaged, responsible, accurate, flexible, gets things done, enjoys working in groups, is outgoing and easy to communicate and collaborate with.

Good knowledge at least in couple of the following areas and strong interest to learn new:

  • Linux or another Unix operating system
  • Windows 201X Server
  • Web/application servers (e.g. Tomcat, JBoss, Websphere, WebLogic or other JEE container - preferably RedHat JBoss EAP)
  • Oracle 11/12c/19c database and Microsoft SQL Server 201X

Experience and interest in the following areas is an advantage:

  • Docker containers
  • DevOps: Jenkins CI/CD, Maven

your role may also include elements of maintaining the DevOps environment (Docker-based environments for Jenkins, Nexus, Sonar, Jira, Confluence etc.) to support our other teams in the organization.

It is an additional advantage if you have experience from laboratory information systems and if you have experience with other computer systems within healthcare or communication with analytical instruments / systems within healthcare. This position requires good knowledge in both Finnish and English, Swedish is an advantage.

The work is both scheduled and event-driven, which is why stress tolerance and accuracy is required. Most of the work is done from our office with VPN connection to the customer systems. You should though be prepared to travel to the costumer if needed.
